Our guiding principle "The Harz in our hearts, looking ahead" also guides us in the long term. The nature of the Harz Mountains is both an inspiration and a benchmark for us. We combine the responsible use of resources with high standards of quality, design and enjoyment. Our focus is on tomorrow - with products that impress with their aesthetics and character.
With our new The HARZ DISTILLERY and the product range, we have many levers at our disposal. This makes our decisions complex, but at the same time full of opportunities. For us, this means that sustainability is a living process - and we approach it with responsibility and conviction.
That is why the values of "sustainability & mindfulness" are anchored in our corporate values.

Raw materials & origin
HARZLIEBE stands for regional raw materials or processing in the region. But we also rely on trusting partnerships for the best quality beyond the Harz Mountains.
Production & Processes
Distillation is energy-intensive - which is why we use modern technology. Our still is flexible. It is fuelled by gas and supported by electricity from our solar system when the sun is shining. We use exhaust air heat from the compressed air system to heat part of the hall in winter.
Packaging & Design
Our bottles, for example, are made of high-quality, recyclable glass - with a grammage that looks valuable without being unnecessarily heavy. The outer carton is made from 100 % recycled corrugated cardboard. Even our gift packaging. We have our flyers and brochures printed exclusively on recycled material - for a responsible use of resources, also in communication.
Logistics & location
Our new building focuses on efficiency and responsibility: energy-optimised technology, short distances, reduced transport. Our own PV system supplies electricity and charging stations promote electromobility.
Social responsibility
With our new foundation, we are making a clear commitment to the Harz region and this location. We want to strengthen the region - through jobs, close partnerships and cultural commitment. For us, responsibility also means combining enjoyment with awareness and standing up for a respectful approach to spirits.
PART OF THE HARZ NATIONAL PARK PARTNERSHIP WITH JOY
We are delighted to be part of the strong network of the Harz National Park Partnership with our craft. The idea of the partner network is to work together for the Harz National Park. With this partnership, we want to set an internal and external visible sign of our solidarity and our roots in the Harz Mountains and also stand up for our home region. With our high-quality, handcrafted spirits, we also pay particular attention to the use of raw materials from the region. As a partner, we also act in an environmentally friendly manner in the areas that are important to us relevant areas.
