The visit was great fun and well worth it!! I went on a self-guided tour. It was really interesting and informative. Afterwards, there was a tasting session. The hazelnut liqueur tastes absolutely delicious. I’m taking a bottle of it home with me.

We stumbled across it by chance via the HWN app and stopped off there on a whim on our way back from a walk. A stylish, open and inviting shop. The young lady there gave us some friendly advice and shared some interesting facts about the distillery. After a quick tasting, we picked up two bottles to enjoy at our leisure on the terrace 😉. The spirits are made using regional produce and distilled on site – I generally prefer regional products to those from the big manufacturers. Wishing this young company every success 🍀

Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for. We spotted the distillery whilst driving past. In the shop, there was actually a flat rate of just €27 for 0.5-litre bottles; no tasting kits or anything of the sort. €10 for a self-guided tour with a 2cl sample. That doesn’t really give you a proper impression of the place. Perhaps I’m being a bit unfair, as it seems a coachload of visitors were on a guided tour when we were there, but I’d somehow hoped for more. The staff at the distillery are very friendly. During the tasting, we learnt some interesting facts about the various products. The tour is fascinating and the samples are delicious. Do give it a go – there’s parking right outside the entrance.

Ein rundum perfektes Erlebnis für die ganze Familie!
Wir waren zu fünft über drei Generationen vor Ort und alle waren schlichtweg begeistert. Mein Mann und ich haben hier den mit Abstand besten Eierlikör überhaupt entdeckt. Mein Papa schwärmt total vom Woodwalk Intense, meine Mama liebt den Erdbeerlikör und für unseren kleinen Mann war die Tour ein riesiges Highlight. Bei so viel Begeisterung mussten natürlich direkt vier Flaschen mit nach Hause – und wir freuen uns schon sehr auf unseren nächsten Besuch! Das Team war einfach wunderbar herzlich und aufmerksam. Definitely and without a shadow of a doubt well worth it!!
Wir hatten Gutscheine für eine Führung mit anschließender Verkostung, Snacks sowie alkoholfreien Getränken geschenkt bekommen und waren -und sind- absolut begeistert von dem Gesamtpaket! Das Team vor Ort ist mit Herzblut und 100% authentisch dabei und versteht es, auch Laien mit auf eine interessante und geschmackvolle Sinnes-Reise zu nehmen. Wir wohnen nur 4km entfernt und haben die gesamte Bauphase der Destillerie miterleben können und freuen uns, dass unsere wundervolle Wahlheimat um so einen besonderen Ort bereichert wurde! Wir haben uns nach der Guidetour für den WoodWalk Intense entschieden und genießen diesen nun am Wochenende mit einem Rosmarinzweig, etwas Bio Zitronenschale und von Thomas Henry Botanical Tonic, so kann jede der Komponenten den besonderen Geschmack des WoodWalk Gins unterstreichen - wobei er uns auch und vor allem "einfach pur auf Eis" schmeckt:) Ein unschlagbares Geschmackserlebnis - wenn man Gin mag ;) Das offene, helle Ambiente, die Farbgebung, der Baustil der Destillerie und auch der Aspekt der Nachhaltigkeit sorgen für ein luftiges und absolut ansprechendes Raumklima und ziehen sich quer durch das gesamte Gebäude. Egal wo man hinblickt: unser geliebter Harz ist überall präsent. Sicherlich werden Durchreisende -und generell Touristen jedweder Art -ebenso begeistert sein wie wir. Sehr sehr nette Umgebung. Tolle Tour super zu lesen alles ,LECKER Schnaps Kuchen und Kaffee. Wir kommen wieder.
